First of all, I know this isn't music-related but I'm very interested in this. It seems like this is going to be a game-changer for the computer industry and computers are important to us all, aren't they? So anyway, Google announced on Thursday that its new operating system, Chrome OS, will see a release in about a year. It will be targeted at netbooks. It's also open-source and FREE!

"Chrome OS is a operating system that is a Web browser – or a Web browser that is an operating system. Essentially, it is Google's current browser, Chrome, bulked-up with systems for browsing files, connecting devices, printing documents and keeping the computer secure."
